current project 1960 Ranchero. 1993 I just got stationed at Mare Island Navel base and Shipyard (bay area in northern California); It started out as a heap of junk sitting in someone's driveway being used as a dumpster. I knocked on the door asked about the car. the woman told me her husband was on deployment and would return in a couple weeks. A couple weeks pass so I knock on the door asked about the Falcon and the first words out of his mouth was $150 and the bed full of trash goes with it. Got it home and started digging in. it was stock 144 with 2 speed automatic, got it running but horrible noise coming out of trans, found flywheel broken. fixed that and brakes and front suspension, drove it for about a year, it was pretty cool but I was itching for more Horse Power! 1995; did a drive train swap, 1985 5.0, last year of Holley four barrel and first year of hyd. roller cam, C-4, 8" rear. Drove it as a commuter for about six years. 2000; well I really didn't like the Ranchero body style, I seen one with a camper shell and liked that look. so I went one step further and welded a Wagon roof on it. Now it's a two door wagon with the truck bed. so more like a windowed delivery. A guy at work said it looked like a Frankenstein. I said it's Falconstein! and it's been call that ever since.2001 one started having some issues with brakes and a divorce so it got put away in the backyard. In 2004 acquired the 54 ford. 2006; started engine swap to 5.4 DOHC in the 54, I happened across two of them so I had a spare. Started thinking a 5.4 DOHC would look pretty cool in Falconstein as a gasser. changed his name to Falconstein's Modster. 2009; moved to Virginia. 2013; decided to resurrect Falconstein's Modster. 2014; a few weeks ago I purchased a Speedway Gasser straight axle kit where I'm at right now doing some mock up and getting ready to start welding. I'm excited!

Back in the late 60's I turned my 63 1/2 Falcon Sprint into a high riding straight axle car,big block car...I still love the gasser styles.

too many house projects. Although they are getting fewer. This spring looks like I might actually have free time to put this beast together. Especially since I scored a supreme deal on a complete KarKraft Dual Quad setup.
