 Post subject: Vintage Utility Trailer

My dad recently bought an old house and we pulled this old trailer out from the back part of the property. It's sporting a 1930's era Ford axle and Ford "wide-five" wheels. The guy who sold my dad the house didn't want the trailer....said his dad built it in the 1950's.

You can't see it in the photos, but it has also has a functional 1930's Ford tailgate.

I put new tires on it, greased the bearings and it made the 2 hour trip from my dad's house, behind my daughter's F150 just fine.

It's just too cool and cute as a lil' bug. I think I'm gonna wire brush the whole thing and put a coat of Rustoleum on it.

I still see some of these old home built trailers are from time to time.
