Finally after several unsuccessful attempts by me and "professionals" to tune a Holley on my large cammed Cleveland, I switched to an Edelbrock. I can say now that I no longer want to sink my 54 in the lake! Wow what a difference!

I had the same outcome when I switched from a Holley to an Edelbrock.

I am a total klutz when it comes to carburetors,I detest fooling around with them.

Holleys are great carburetors but they can be temperamental and because of that I lean toward the Edelbrock carburetors nowadays.

I can rebuild a Holley with my eyes closed, and usually tune one fairly routinely. But the combination of my Cleveland's big 4V heads, a cam with 312 duration and a single plane intake makes it interesting.
