OK i have a 54 currier sedan delivery and im having a nightmare with the hinges i am sure the bolts that are holding the arms to the hood are wrong as they are smaller than the holes in the arms and only alow the hood to move if they are loose . i have looked on the internet and ebay but the bolts i can find are only listed up to 1953 for the cars and they are the bolts with a shoulder on them , Did they change them for the 54 car ? can anybody explain to me how the bolts work are there suposed to be spacers and shims ?? . im in England so ordering the wrong parts is a nightmare .
Cheers Dunk

The bolts for the 54 are the same as the 53. I found this out when I started to look for new bolts. Order the ones for 52/53 from Dennis Carpenter. They should be shoulder bolts and usually use a spring washer that goes over the shoulder.

You might try Roy Nacewicz 734-654-9450. He has all kinds of correct bots and nuts for early Fords.

When Roland Hall rebuilt my hinges, he supplied me with a complete set of correct bolts and washers.

Check him out on the vendors page. He may be willing to sell you a set.

Check him out on the vendors page. He may be willing to sell you a set. It was probably an accident, because when it is not an accident, it shows up perfectly. Other than that, I am not sure if this helps because it is to the left. After the page load, it will not ask that again, so it's fine. When you see it, you can get them to open it up and you can see whether or not it fits. If it does, then I would say it is not an accident. Check it below.
