While removing the pistons from my 239 Y block, the one that was stuck the worst broke a ringland.
Since the engine is in pretty good shape I'd prefer to not go full rebuild and stick with stock pistons plus new rings.

Does anyone have a spare STD (=3.5000) size 239 piston laying about? I'd be happy to pay for it plus shipping. It would save me a lot of hassle (or dishing out 500 bucks for a full set of new pistons...

Any help appreciated!

I have a partially disassembled engine in the shop that should have four or five good pistons in it. I'll let you know.

This engine is hopelessly locked up but I was able to remove the #3 and the #8 without too much trouble. I can send you just the pistons or the piston/rods. Other than wiping the oil from them I think that you can get a better idea of their quality if I leave the carbon and rings on them. Feel free to PM the info I'll need to ship them.

Did you get what you were looking for? I just pulled the 239 and replacing it with 292. I would have to check if the pistons are standard.
