On my hot rod with 351 Windsor engine, since I have owned it has crappy at best power brakes. In talking to an OLD friend I learned that the valves opening longer than a standard cam causes lack of vacuum, which greatly affects braking, power brakes. Makes sense, but if I look on line for help, I can spend lots of bucks$$$$$ on fixes. I can remember some cars in my past that had a "fruit can" looking canister for vacuum boost. My question is can I do this the less expensive way or is it going to require some $300 - $500 purchasing of racing parts, pumps and pretty canisters?

Not bad going this route even cheaper if you come across a low mileage Cadillac at the local Pick N Pull https://www.powerperformancenews.com/te ... m-booster/
