For me that would have been a lot of grass mowing and collecting returnable bottles on the side of the road, but hey, those 3 cent bottles added up!

First car, 1953 Ford four door sedan with the old Flathead. Drove it all through high school, God knows how many miles. Sold it when I went in the service in 1965. Have had cars, trucks, antique 1947 Ford Fire Truck all my life and now I have come full circle and have a 1954 F350 to work on.

My second car was a '54 Ford that I purchased from the original owner in 1966 and it was a extremely nice car, I blew up the inline 6 and replaced it with a 390 CI engine, I surprised a lot of unsuspecting Chevy owners but sadly I rolled the car and totaled it in the middle of main street.

My girl friends grandmother had a '54 Ranch Wagon, later my wife and the wagon we have now is her grandmothers.
