Hello everyone,

I just picked up a '54 Ranch Wagon a couple of weeks ago and I am excited to start working on it. It looks and runs clean however, there is a lot I want to do to it. It has a big block 460 and a C6 transmission. I look forward to talking with you all and I hope to find some answers when I need them. :D

Aaron

Looks really nice as is. What do you plan to do to it?

Hey James,

Thanks. It runs good and looks pretty clean. The guy I bought it from did a nice job with it. I am going to stay with the same classic look (no chopping or lowering, no crazy paint or any modern looking changes). I like cars to look appropriate to the year.

I am going to upgrade the cam, heads, exhaust, intake and carb to roughly double to HP. Rebuild or buy a new transmission, add power-steering, new front/rear suspension and change to disc brakes. Body and paint work, new glass (3 window are cracked), redo the interior including adding hardwood in the trunk area instead of carpet. I am sure I will think of more!
