Location: Central Louisiana
I have a 302/C4 3 speed trans and 3.90 gear ratio in rear end. Does anyone know what gear ratio can be installed to get improved gas mileage? Presently getting about 10 mpg., can't cruise much with that kind of mileage. Any help appreciated.

If you have the stock rear, look for an automatic rear. Ratio is a lot better for cruising - some where around 3.30.

Are you talking about a complete rear end or changing the ring and pinion gears?
