Has anyone installed the Borgeson Power Steering Conversion Kit? I'm in the middle of doing this conversion thinking it was a straight bolt up. The gear box doesn't clear the frame. Called Borgeson and they told me that sometimes that needs to be done. I find it hard to believe that '54 frames vary from one to another that much. I've ground a pretty good amount to gain the clearance. Just wondering if anyone else has tackled this project and what problems they've run into?
Thanks in advance,
Alan Wood

Alan, I have been building cars for the past 50 years and I have yet to see anything that bolts up without a little fabrication.

Hi Alan ,just saw your ?? on the borgeson p.s. pump install . we installed one on my 54 . it bolts right into stock frame holes and with the correct measurements the stock 54 shaft is a straight shot to pump spline without any knuckle joints .Borgeson does not give the correct info on installing the pump . If you need info on what we did to install P.M. me. It helps if your engine is out of engine bay ,as we are doing the whole car over it was the perfect time to install it. Dave
